Pinterest really knows how to suck me in, but is a great source of inspiration to me daily! While browsing I came across some of these images and absolutely loved the combination of the traditional aspects mixed with the clean lines of the modern furniture.
spicing up your kitchen
Kitchens sell homes and this is because people are in them all day and want to enjoy the space they occupy. Kitchens can tend to look very similar from home to home so I love when I come across a fun one. One easy way to set yours apart is by painting your cabinets a fun color. Here are a few that I love. (obviously I’m drawn to blues and grays)
love the lacquer glossy finish on these blue cabinets!

They are all too pretty its so hard to decide! eek..
plaid the new fad
Its starting to get a little chilly around here and with the change of seasons comes my obsession with plaid. I don’t know what it is but something about plaid just seems so comfy and cozy. Here is how to bring this fun pattern into your home (without making it look like a hunting lodge)
The More Elegant approach.. Plaid can sometimes feel too masculine so they paired the couch nicely
with elegant decor and soft tones to keep a more feminine feel

No idea what is going on in that artwork behind the couch but this has been
one of my favorite images on Pinterest over the last few years. I am just too obsessed with that beauty of a gingham couch

And for the more traditional look a grey plaid armchair and simple decor..

Another one of my favorites. Lauren Liess is an amazing designer and these chairs just make me swoon.. look at the back of those! found via pinterest
Loving the black and white buffalo plaid check used in your table decor

and this mountain home is surprisingly not too rustic as it has many modern elements but those
plaid barstools are pretty freaking amazing

Boho Bride
Loved working with Annelise and Jessica Haderlie Photography a few weeks ago! Annelise is absolutely stunning and I LOVE how her hair and makeup came out.
Glamorous Updo
Loved working with this beauty for her Junior Prom. This is the third dance I’ve been able to do Emma’s hair for and its always so fun! She has the most amazing dresses and is so beautiful to begin with it makes it real easy on me! Love how this vintage glamour style came out.
Lifestyle Shoot
This was such a fun photo shoot with Brooke Schultz Photography. Signature Brides did a few other models and crystal did the makeup and I did the hair on this lovely “bride”. It was so fun to try out something a little different than the normal braided crown. I went with a knotted crown and soft curls. I love how it came out!

My Lovely Sister In Law
My brother got married this last June in the Los Angeles Temple and my sister in law Melissa asked me to do her hair and makeup for her. Its always a little scary doing your friends or families hair for big events but this was especially scary because Melissa is a hair and makeup artist herself! She was born and raised in California so wanted a natural and relaxed look for her big day and here is a little sneak peek into what we did!
